Test Drives: 2002 Acura 3.2TL Type-S
|

The sport version of the 3.2TL costs a little more money but you should give it a try. Changes include 17-inch wheels & rims, a 260-hp engine, and more other sport touches. The cost of the Type-S is a little higher, around $43,000 CDN. It makes the regular 225-hp TL look less appealing. I don't care for the 'in-your-face' grille that the TL received midway into its generation. The interior has comfortable seats, a good seating position for the driver, a sport-shifter for the 5-speed auto, and unique Type-S instruments. As with similar Japanese entry- level luxury models, the key is value. Hopefully, Acura continues to offer a reasonably priced Accord-based luxury sedan.
