Test Drives: 2000 Audi A6 2.7T Quattro
|
|
This brand new addition to the A6 lineup is a great car. It picks up where the A6 2.8 lacks in horsepower and torque. The bi-turbo found in the 2.7T offers 250 bhp and 258 lb/ft of torque. The shape of the car is very appealing. The Quattro AWD system is fabulous for Winnipeg winters. This edition of the A6 is available in either a 6-speed manual or 5-speed tiptronic transmission. The tiptronic transmission is very responsive but when engaged, it does not act fully as a manual. It will automatically shift into second gear unless you put it to the floor, and the shift is very soon, too soon. Overall, an excellent combination of luxury, performance, and character.
