Test Drives: 2001 BMW 330Ci Individual

This particular 330Ci is a special edition manufactured by the Motorsport Division of BMW, even though it isn't an M-badged car. It is a special shade of blue (midnight black) on red leather with aluminium trim. Equipped with the sport package, this coupe had sport seats, a sport suspension, sport headlight and taillight trim, a unique front spoiler with fog lights, and M-style 17-inch rims with Z-rated tires. The car is an absolute blast to drive. The 5-speed manual transmission is geared perfectly, the steering is very communicative and not overly boosted with power assist, and the body is very rigid over the worst of Winnipeg roads. The engine sounds beautiful when pushing 4000 RPMS but also very quite at cruise and idle. I would buy this car in an instant if it were $4000 cheaper. However, if you are looking for a unique 3-Series, this particular coupe is as unique (from the factory) as it gets.
